Hi,
Yes, I have found a lot of applications that pre-dated eyeOS 1.0 and it appears that they are working hard at converting those to the 1.0 format. I think we'll see a lot of new apps within a month.
>However I wish they could have an OpenDocument compatible Word processor
yep, I was going to talk about that on the podcast (even did some research about it, when you create a document and open it via a hexviewer you clearly see the Microsoft tags all over it) but failed to mention it.
will do so in the next episode.
thanks for the feedback

Acer Aspire ?
Hi, I am looking for an affordable laptop too :)
which model is your laptop ?
is it 100% friendly to Debian (including wireless) ?
Thanks in advance for the info.
System76
I think a great resource to buy linux friendly laptop is to get a linux laptop. There are plenty of ones, depending on your location (outside of US) you can find many here:
- System76 http://system76.com/
- LXer list of Linux distributors: http://lxer.com/module/forums/t/23168/

Hi,
it's an Acer Aspire, 9413ZWSMi, uptil now it's not a 100% debian friendly, I still have to figure out how to support the builtin webcam but everything else is perfectly supported (including the wireless adapter)
Like I said, Ubuntu out of the box, Debian from the ground up and everything is working great.
I'll keep you informed about the webcam thingie.
thanks for the question,
Dimi.
